'Post a Review' feature

What is the 'Post a Review' feature?

We're insanely passionate about social proof! A large portion of our new business is generated off the back of previous work and so getting those all-important reviews is paramount.

In order to help with this, we developed an application that aims to simplify the process of leaving a review but also, perhaps more importantly, gives you confidence in asking for the review in the first place.

We initially developed this for ourselves, then rolled it out to our website clients and it's proved so powerful that we've now developed it into a standalone application so non-website clients can utilise it.

In a nutshell, the customer is presented with a form asking how many stars to rate the business and if they choose 1-3, they are shown a form that gets emailed to the business owner directly and anything higher, they are presented with links direct to the different review platforms.

Check out our version here - https://review.estateapps.co.uk/.

There are a few cool benefits to this feature:

  • It's a nice way of pre-screening any negative feedback before it goes public.
  • You can't stop someone going direct to Google (for example) to post their review but this widget minimises the risk.
  • It gives you an opportunity to turn negative feedback into a positive experience for the customer.
  • It's made the process so easy for the user that we've found we're getting more reviews across multiple platforms instead of just the one.
  • You have one link to give out to customers (rather than links to each of the individual platforms).

For our website clients, the 'Post a Review' option is included in your main navigation (usually under the 'About' menu) so its easily found by any website visitors. You also, might notice that we usually include call-to-action buttons on the "Reviews" & "Success Stories" pages too just to help maximise visibility.

In terms of usage, you could include this link in multiple ways – as part of an email template (like we do here), team email signatures and of course your website if you wanted to. In our experience though, nothing beats sending a direct email asking for the review!

We've written a blog about this feature with a bit more info, or check out our nifty little explainer video.

What if I have further questions?

Please let us know of any questions / feedback as we’re always striving to enhance our platform wherever possible. Alternatively, if you'd like to have a chat about how to maximise the ROI on this application, feel free to schedule something directly in Alex's diary - https://calendly.com/estateapps-alex - although be warned, he can talk all day long about reviews!

We hope this application brings as much benefit to your business as it has our own! Please just remember...

  • If you don't ask, you don't get. If you still don't get, ask again!
  • The more you ask, the more you get!

It really is as simple as that!

Note; This feature started life in the top-tier subscription however, it proved so powerful, we just had to let it loose for ALL clients so now, it's a feature that's available for all clients!
