How to add articles to the 'Local Community' section

Modified on Wed, 2 Aug, 2023 at 9:57 PM

Introduction

The 'Local Community' section is one of our favourite features! The main reason being that it's nothing to do with property and all to do with the community you work in. It's purpose is to give a more personal kind of insight and promote what's going on, including content about local charity work (litter picks etc), school fetes or other events that will be of interest to people living there.

It's also, fantastic content for sharing across your social channels!

This feature is only available on our top-tier of subscription (along with a whole host of other features).

We hope this 'How To' guide is helpful but if you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at support@estateapps.co.uk.

How to add a new blog to the 'Local Community' page

To add to your 'Local Community' page, simply follow the steps below!

  1. Login to your CMS (contact our support team if you have any issues with this).
  2. Click the 'Content' tab under the menu on the left hand side.
  3. Then, click on 'Blog Articles'.
  4. From here you can add the blog content, including any images and videos you'd like to use. If you do not know how to add a blog, please see our 'Managing Blog Content' article here.

5. Once you have finished your blog, all you need to do is add the tag - "local-community" - and they will automatically appear in the correct section on the website.

How to add an existing blog to the 'Local Community' page

You can also add any existing blogs on your site to the 'Local Community' page.

  1.  Log in to the CMS.
  2. Click the 'Content' tab on the menu on the left hand side.
  3. Then, click on 'Blog Articles'.
  4. Click the pencil icon to the right of the blog you want to add to the page.
  5. Add the 'local-community' tag from there and that will automatically add the blog post to your 'Local Community' page.

A nice example of this feature is here - https://butlerresidential.co.uk/local-community - so hopefully, this gives you some inspiration on what you can do with it.
